Centennial athletics this week are as follows: Thursday, Middle school girls basketball will play at Moffat at 4:30. High school basketball will host Cotopaxi at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10 and play South Baca on Saturday, January 11 at TSJC in Trinidad at 1:00. Wrestling will have a TRI at LaVeta on January 10.

Hello Centennial families! The Soul Players of the Valley: San Luis have an exciting opportunity for all middle school and high school students. They are providing a tubing trip to the Red River ski area on Saturday, January 4, 2025. There will be transportation available leaving from the school at noon. This is free and a special event for all students from our area. If you are interested in joining the trip, please call the school or me directly tomorrow to let us know, so we have a headcount to book the group rate. We will make follow up phone calls tomorrow to all families whose children show interest in attending this exciting opportunity.

Our student colcha reception was held last night and it was an incredible success! We celebrated the hard work of our 4th, 5th, middle and high school art students, and the colcha embroideries they have been working on weekly (some even daily!) since October. Thank you to all who attended to see the artwork, and who stopped by to appreciate the embroideries on their way to the winter music program. The San Luis Valley Colcha Project, supported by Think360 Equity in Arts Learning Grant, supplied a delicious array of desserts and sweets, as well as funding for all the supplies needed for this project for our students. At 6:00 PM is our winter music program, Party at the North Pole, featuring all elementary and middle school music students. Don't want to cook dinner? Stick around for the class of 2027 enchilada dinner and pictures with Santa fundraiser after the program to round off a wonderful night of supporting our awesome Rams!

Good evening. Brackets for middle school boys basketball end of season tournament were released today. They will play on Tuesday, December 10th at 3:30 pm at OMS. Based on this game will determine when they play on Friday, December 13th at Sanford tournament. Refer to bracket for Friday schedule.
