Good afternoon!
Just a quick reminder that there is no school for our early childhood through 5th-grade students on Thursday, March 14. It is the end of the third quarter. Secondary students still attend school for midterms before Spring Break.

Good morning Centennial families! Join us this evening for our monthly Literacy Night at Centennial! This month is Campfire Fables. There will be popcorn, snowcones, and lots of fun! We can't wait to see you there! Starts at 6pm-720pm

Good morning! Sharing some wonderful moments from our literacy week. It's truly inspiring to see the Senior class making a meaningful contribution by participating in the reading event and spreading the joy of Dr. Seuss books with pre-K and preschool students. 😊

Some more wonderful moments from our literacy week. 😊

It's wonderful to learn that the Science fair qualifiers are enjoying themselves with some lighthearted activities prior to the upcoming regionals. It's important to strike a balance between work and play.

This year’s homecoming theme was Folktales and Fairytales. Classes picked their favorite Disney movie and designed hallway, float decorations, and skits based on that movie. After a week of hard work and creativity, our homecoming king and queen were crowned from the Senior class! King Devon Vigil and Queen Anaela Benton were crowned by last year’s king and queen, Samuel Aguilara and Rhylina Serna.
This year’s speech topic was centered around the benefits of growing up in a small town and receiving a rural education. All of the classes did a great job illustrating the unique benefits and even some challenges that are part of this special way of life.
Awards for homecoming court were as follows:
Third runners up: Freshmen, represented by Lillyanna Sanchez and Jennesi Perea
Second runners up: Sophomores, represented by Sophitia Petrick and Veanay Duenas
Homecoming Princes: Juniors, represented by Jose Molina and Manuelito Rael
Homecoming King and Queen: Seniors, represented by Devon Vigil and Anaela Benton

"Our school is hosting a special event called Dr. Seuss week, where we encourage students to embrace the joy of reading by dressing up. We kindly request parents to support this initiative and encourage their children to participate in the dress-up activities throughout the week."

Good evening Centennial families,
As Colorado strives to become a more environmentally conscious state, changes are happening at every level regarding the use of styrofoam and single-use plastics. We need to end our use of these products, so we asking all families to send their child/ren to school each day with a water bottle to have access to the fruit-infused water and fresh water from our bottle fillers. When we return from Spring Break, we will no longer have single-use cups available for students. Be sure they have water bottles each day. Thank you for your support in this important shift for our community and planet.

Good evening Ram families. Tomorrow Centennial high school basketball teams will host the District tournament playin games. Girls will play Lake City at 4:30 p.m. and boys will play Antonito at 6:30 p.m. Please come out and support your student athletes. Brackets can be seen on the school website @centennial.k12.co.us

Good afternoon Centennial families. We have an exciting update about our internet connectivity project: It is time to sign up to have school-provided Wi-Fi at your house. Each family will receive a call from the San Luis Valley Rural Electric Cooperative/Ciello to see if you wish to be connected to the school internet. This is not a spam call; it is the first step towards getting connected. The calls are legitimate and are indirectly associated with the school. Please, reach out to the school with any questions.

The Book Fair is open for two more days! This Thursday will be the final day. Be sure to check out the selection and add a new book to your home library today!
